IMy father Ramier was the heredigtaryu trustee of the temple. My great grandfather Ramadurai Iyer was a powerful land lord and was said to have been a trustee of this temple also. Kanchii Periyaval used to talk of him with great affection, as one who used to see that the Kanchi Periyaval was in great comfort when carried in the palanquin by placing a pail full of milk and instructing the palanquin bearers that the milk should not be spilt. Though I was not a party to the events the ancestral home was sold, without my knowledge notwithstanding my father's specific documentation that I had half share in the house that was known as PERIAM (big house) in the village. I have shed tears of blood at this betrayal by one who goes about as an honorable man. fpr the past 23 years. The home, the pride of my father was demolished by the person to whom it was transferred by the criminal. I am sure Sambandam and his brothers will remember me. I have he image of his father Kalyana Gurukkal and his wife imprinted in my memory Rukimani's father Sama Athan was my father's paternal aunt's son and her mother Mangalam Athai was my fathers cousin sister. I was taken out of Cadavasal by an act of venal criminality bug as long as I live no one can remove Cadavasal and those who lived there from my memory. I collected three shards of slate from the ruins of the home, and they were from the slate table in which I learnt from my first alphabets from my guru Sri subramania Iyer of thirukkarugavur Even from the ruins, I heard my mother performing her Puja and my sister Parvathi reciting her sloka, It is beyond me how one can be so greedy as to cremate generations of a famiy in one go and move around with a visage of piety and innocence concealing the heart of a serial rapist.
